It’s almost Spring

 EXTRA MEETING

RENNIES – the cancelled meeting in January has been rescheduled for Friday16 th APRIL, with Bob Hughes using interactive acrylics.

40 YEARS TRIP

Tuesday May 11 th to Jackie Iddon’s Nursery and sculpture gardens near Leyland. See web site jacquelineiddonhardyplants.co.uk

To include morning coffee, garden tour, lunch, a talk on “sculptor in the garden”-Her husband Thompson Dagnall is an amazing sculptor and has his studio on site. The club is subsidising this trip by 50% as it is our 40 th anniversary so the day will only cost you £7!! Transport will be by private car – to be arranged nearer the time. Please see John to put your name on the list (we are limited to about 50 people)

40 YEARS Summer exhibition 5 th - 6 th June 2010

To include invited guests to a Special preview evening on 4 th June with light refreshments and DON’T FORGET the painting competition – on the theme of Maghull- Past to Present . Put this in your diary NOW and get painting. We need as many entries as possible for this to be a success.

Does anyone have any photos of old Maghull that members could use as painting reference? Let Di know if you have any ideas.

ENTRY FORMS

We are saving postage by giving out the exhibition entry forms a bit early this year to allow more time to distribute them. Please take any that you can hand deliver.

AGM

Remember this is on 26th March, not April.

VOLUNTEER NEEDED. Please let me know if you would like to join us on the committee and help with the fun job of running this wonderful club. We would like at least one new member on the committee to take on the job of membership secretary and/ or advertising.

SUBS DUE

The annual subs are due at the AGM - Still at the amazing price of £12. What value!!

WEEKLY WORKSHOP

Our Tuesday morning painting morning is proving popular with a regular attendance of 12 – 15 members coming along to paint and exchange ideas and advice.
This is for ANY member to come along and paint, no commitment or booking necessary.
Only £2 from 10am – 12 noon on a Tuesday at St. Peter’s Church Hall,   Moorhey  Rd.  Maghull. (Opp. Hudson Primary School.)

DVDs FOR LOAN

These are unedited copies of our monthly demonstrations so you will need to use the fast forward button in places but i think they are worth looking at again, even more so if you missed the meeting. They can be played on computer or TV but can not be copied or altered and are for club members use only please. The DVD box is at the back of the room and i would ask that you sign the book that is with them and leave £1 in the tin to help cover the costs of the disks. Don't forget to return them at the next meeting.
